Around 1997, I used to troll forums frequented by users of Slackware Linux, making fun of their preferred systems lack of technical features present in Debian GNU/Linux. (For those who don’t know Linux: at that time, commercial organizations tended to use Red Hat, but “geeks” were split about evenly between Debian and Slackware loyalists.
